Grange House has 8 units for up to 48 girls and 48 boys aged 11 to 16. Units 1\u20134 house the boys, while Units 5\u20138 house the girls. Each unit accommodates 12 students in a 3-room structure, with 4 students per room and an ensuite bathroom.<\/p>

We provide a caring and supportive environment to enable students to develop their independence and take responsibility for their own actions. It is an opportunity to live independently while maintaining a sense of teamwork and active participation within the community.<\/p>

We offer full-time boarding (students only leave the boarding house at half-term, full-term holidays, and approved exeat requests). However, parents can opt for flexi-boarding (Monday\u2013Friday) or occasional boarding for those wishing to book a space on an ad hoc basis when unexpected work, family, or school commitments create logistical challenges.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Prep (Homework):<\/strong> Attendance is compulsory. The common room also partly serves as a Prep room. Prep is THE MOST SACRED TIME<\/strong> in the hostel schedule. Pupils are required to work in silence. Academic staff are available to assist pupils with homework in the Grange House tutorial area. Houseparents check and sign homework diaries.<\/p>

Phone Calls:<\/strong> Parents are welcome to contact the Boarding House lines between 7:30pm\u20138:00pm (weekdays and weekends). Students have access to a telephone located in each unit in the boarding house. In an emergency, please contact the Senior Boarding Housemaster immediately.<\/p>

Bedtimes:<\/strong> Before going to bed, students ensure that their uniform and all required books for the following day are ready. Lights out is from 9:00pm.<\/p>

Sickbay:<\/strong> A resident nurse is available to deal with emergencies or other health-related issues. Students are well cared for if unwell in the House. A retainership with a nearby clinic is also available for cases requiring urgent medical care.<\/p>

Fire Drills:<\/strong> Fire drills are unannounced. If a fire alarm sounds \u2014 whether students are in bed, at play, or in the shower \u2014 they must exit the unit immediately. After leaving the unit, students assemble outside and line up with their unit mates. Houseparents always check that everyone is out and safe before leaving the unit.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n As the Hostel Prefect, I had the honour of planning hostel activities and ensuring everything in the hostel ran smoothly.<\/p> \n

\n My first week in the hostel was both exciting and a little stressful as I adjusted to a new environment and routine. However, as time went on, I settled in, made great friends, and came to truly enjoy hostel life and all the fun activities that came with it.

\n\n One of my favourite memories was the final Hostel Conduct Awards held at the school gazebo. The event began with a cooking competition, followed by the awards ceremony, and ended with an unforgettable party. \n Living in a boarding environment introduces you to a unique kind of reality, but it is the people who make it feel like home.<\/p>

\n Looking back on my journey, which began when I joined the hostel in Year 7, the memories I cherish most are not just the lessons learned in the classroom, but the friendships and brotherhood built within our unit. Over the years, we grew from individuals into a close-knit family that supported one another through every challenge and celebration.

\n\n The hostel was the perfect balance of hard work and unforgettable fun. I was fortunate to be surrounded by friends like David and Omole, who constantly pushed me to do my best. Whether we were preparing for exams, helping each other understand difficult topics, or staying up late to study together, there was always a shared determination to succeed. That spirit of accountability helped me grow both academically and personally.

\n\n Beyond the academics, hostel life was filled with incredible memories. From our late-night conversations to the lively hostel parties where everyone came together to dance and celebrate, there was never a dull moment. Sometimes the excitement even meant being chased around by our house parents, moments that seemed stressful then but now make for some of our funniest memories.

\n\n Our house parents each played an important role in shaping our experience. Mr. Agboola captivated us with his fascinating stories, while Mr. Sam could always make us laugh with his endless jokes. Mr. Adebayo's discipline and Mr. Popoola's constant guidance reminded us to stay focused, helping us become more responsible young men.

\n\n As I prepare for the next chapter of my life, I am deeply grateful for everything the hostel has given me.
