    The Geography Department understands that the world is dynamic and constantly changing. The department has taken the subject to a new level through the introduction of activities which engender curiosity in the pupils enabling them to become lifelong learners. We ensure that subject content is always current and relevant with the goal of ensuring that the pupils achieve excellent grades at IGCSE.<\/p>

    Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives is a dynamic and stimulating course that stretches across traditional subject boundaries and develops transferable skills. It is both cross-curricular and skills-based and taps into the way learners of today enjoy learning, especially through the digital world. It includes teamwork, presentations, projects, and working with other learners around the world. The emphasis is on developing the ability to think critically about a range of global issues where there is always more than one point of view.<\/p>

    It prepares you for lifelong learning, workplace scenarios, relationships, and parenting. Furthermore, it gives you a head start in research as you understand the role that bias plays in issues and information.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>\n\t\t \n

    History is pivotal in every environment as it helps people understand why they interact with each other. It enquires into the motivation of human actions, the course of those actions, the consequences of those actions, and the assessment of their importance. It also helps in improving the understanding of human behaviour.<\/p>

    The study of History as a subject cannot be overemphasised as it helps people to carry out enquiries independently with the aim of reaching a balanced conclusion that is devoid of bias, but based on evidence through effective communication. History aids and encourages oral expression and the needed confidence in times of debating over an issue, locally or internationally. It is a subject that encourages individuals to be more tolerant of each other.<\/p>

    History at IGCSE focuses on key events and periods from the 20th Century and an in-depth study of Germany (1918\u20131945). The emphasis is on both historical knowledge and on the skills required for historical research. Pupils develop an understanding of the nature of cause and effect, continuity and change, similarity and difference, and learn how to use and understand historical evidence as part of their studies. IGCSE History will stimulate any pupil already interested in the past, providing a basis for further study and encouraging a lifelong interest in the subject.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>\n\t\t \n

    One may ask: why do we do Religious Studies in school? Is studying Religious Studies relevant today? Are we trying to make our children religious?<\/p>

    Studying RS helps us to understand other people\u2019s beliefs and why they do the things they do. It helps us to decide what values are important to us and why. It helps us draw the line between political and religious activities. Questions bothering people\u2019s minds such as: Is there a God? Is there life after death? What is the purpose of life? Why does God allow suffering? are all addressed in Religious Studies.<\/p>

    IGCSE Religious Studies is an interesting course in which you look at topics such as Christian beliefs, Muslim or Jewish beliefs, their ways of life, justice, crime and punishment; family life and marriage; the roles of men and women in society; the concept of life after death; religious pilgrimage and historic places, and many others. It enlightens and removes the ignorance that causes prejudice, hatred, and violence.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n
